Dan Trachtenberg, whose impressive resume includes 10 Cloverfield Laneand The Boys, executive produced and will direct the first episode. The Lost Symbol is the third Brown novel featuring the character of Langdon, following Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, and is set after the events of Da Vinci Code. You’ll find some even bigger names in the producer credits, though, with a who’s who of writers and Hollywood heavyweights getting those, including Dan Brown himself, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Samie Kim Falvey, Anna Culp, John Weber and Frank Siracusa. Interestingly, the book isn’t a prequel, but the show’s timeline has been changed to make it one, probably because Hanks wasn’t on board.
